May 01, 2010 · Machining "T1" steel? I'm in need to make a big hole- apprx. 5"- in a big block- apprx 1.5" thick- of T1 steel. I wasn't overly familiar with that spec, so a quick Google gives me either A514-T1 or T1-321/T1-360, all high-wear, abrasion-resistant steels. I don't know the precise spec for the supplied block apart from just "T1", at the moment.
